What incredible news! We are thrilled to hear we have received funding thanks to the government’s #CultureRecoveryFund, so that we can continue to be here for you and #HereForCulture.
Unexpected Places and Light UP are among over 2,700 recipients who will benefit from the latest round of awards from the Culture Recovery Fund. We couldn't be more grateful, relieved and excited to begin to rebuild bigger and better than ever, thanks to this opportunity.
So what does this mean for Unexpected Places and Light UP?
After facing a difficult year as an organisation, this funding, along with the financial support we have received from the government, other funding bodies and the income from our online classes, will mean that we can open our doors open again, re-establish our youth theatre and outreach work, relaunch our events at UP Studios - and more! We are so excited and ready to come back stronger than ever before; supporting the creative education of our students and our community, with more inventive, engaging projects.
We will be running outreach sessions in local schools, developing creative schemes of work to support arts education in infant, primary and secondary schools, restablishing our youth theatre, planning future performances and recruiting new team members to progress our charitable aims.
